The food was so rich and delicious, we fell in love with the jerk chicken and the way the Mac and cheese was made - it had us scraping the plates and craving even more and the lady who works there was super friendly and hospitable 💯

This place has gotten even better went recently and everything tasted fresh and flavourful and the sauces are really really good. Highly recommend the Jerk , Mac and Chesse , Jollof and Jerk Lamb- Service

Wonderful customer service from the front staff. The manager is very interesting to interact with and kind. The food is amazingly tasty 😋 😍 Portions are very good for the price. I would definitely recommend 👌 and bring people over to support the business. Well done to the team at Soul Food

All the meat was melt in your mouth. The jerk chicken was absolutely the best jerk chicken I’ve ever eaten and my husbands Jamaican so I’ve ate that a lot in my time! The curry goat my sister had was top tier. The portions could never leave you hungry! We’re fatties and couldn’t finish it (not for lack of trying). That’s the spot 💚- Service

Was at work hungry popped in here to get some food. Ordered curry goat with mac and cheese the curry goat was dry m barely any sauce… and the mac and cheese was terrible was just wet slimy pasta in a salty sauce I’ve never had such a bad mac and cheese. Ended up putting the whole meal in the bin. disappointing

I ordered their jerk burger as I had eaten the day before and it was really tasty with good chunks of jerk chicken so I ordered it the following day for me and my sister and I was shocked at how it came, the coco bread was soggy with pink colour juice and the chicken was completely different, almost like pulled chicken mixed with a extremely spicy sauce so it was like slop in a bun where the bread has soaked up all the excess liquid on top of that whilst I took a bite I bit down on something really hard which chipped my tooth and cut my gum, I almost chocked in the process! I was really frightened for a moment and realised it was a long sharp chicken bone! I open my sandwich to find another two smaller bones in my burger! No care was taken when making my burger otherwise they would have noticed there was bones in my sandwich! I found three in total and reported it to uber. This should not be happening and it’s really dangerous had I swallowed it. I am really upset by it and have to go to an emergency dentist because of this experience. The problem with this place is consistency and not enough care taken when handling the food. Never again!- Price per person

We are sorry to hear of your unpleasant TSG experience. The pink sauce mentioned is simply mayonnaise and our customer favourite Homemade jerk sauce. The 2 seemed to have blended, all of our jerk chicken used in Burgers are from the same source as the pieces of chicken we use for our meals. Our staff are trained to take great care when making the burgers to avoid instances as this, and your feedback has swiftly been circulated and taken up with all staff members, showing the effects of not taking extra precautions, even if it only happens once. A further investigation has taken place in order for this to not occur again, it would be of great help if you could kindly provide us with your order details, by either contacting the restaurant via phone or email tastesoulgood@outlook.com. It is a shame to have only received this 1 star review and not received anything from the previous order which you did enjoy, however good and bad feedback will be used as part of ongoing training for all new & current staff.
